A public records act (PRA) request was made to DTSC for communications between Daniel Hirsch and DTSC.
Documents provided so far have unearthed email communications demonstrating ...
- coordination between Hirsch, Brausch, and staffers of one-time State Senator Shiela Kuehl during drafting of SB-990,
- attempts to incorporate SB-990 into the 2007 Consent Order,
- coordinated efforts between Hirsch, DTSC and CalEPA to prevent EPA listing SSFL on the NPL
- constant communication between Hirsch and Brausch during the August 2009 coup ousting Riley and the replacement of the Riley revised consent order with the Movassaghi/Brausch revised consent order
- Hirsch was initially alarmed at Movassaghi's idea of including background into the equation, believing that it undermined the risk assessmennt foundation of SB 990
